While primarily used in attics, it can also be blown into enclosed cavities, ensuring comprehensive coverage and improved energy efficiency.

Perfect for open walls or ceilings before drywall and vapor barriers are installed, our spray-in fiberglass insulation behaves similarly to spray foam, adhering to surfaces and replacing traditional batt insulation. It provides excellent thermal resistance and sound absorption, with zero waste due to its efficient installation process. Excess material is vacuumed and recycled back into use, ensuring no gaps and a flawless application. Made from additionally refined glass without added chemicals, it is naturally fire-resistant, non-combustible, rodent-resistant, and mold-resistant. This versatile insulation is ideal for walls, ceilings, attics, and cavity filling.

Attic Insulation Inspection and Installation Guide

Attic Insulation Inspection Preparation

1. Identify Issues: Check for any problems related to your attic insulation before our inspector arrives. This includes water stains on drywall (ceiling or wall), temperature issues in specific areas of the house, or comments made by home inspectors.
2. Access Attic Hatches: Locate and provide access to all attic hatches. If an attic hatch is in a closet, remove personal items to allow our inspector easy access.
3. Clear the Attic: Remove any personal belongings stored in your attic. 
4. Check Pot Lights: If renovating or performing electrical work, ensure your pot lights are I-C (Insulation Contact) rated, which allows insulation to be installed over them without any cover or border.

Attic Insulation Installation Preparation

1. Time Estimate: Budget 3 – 4 hours for a standard attic insulation installation. Jobs involving insulation removal or extensive vapor barrier repair may take longer.
2. Minimal Disruption: Don’t worry about clean-up. Our crews are experienced in upgrading lived-in residences daily. We lay down drop sheets and install poly sheeting from within to the attic hatch and clean up thoroughly upon completion, ensuring minimal disruption to your household.
3. Separate Roofing Work: Any roofing work quoted may be executed by a different crew. While all work is part of the Sorell Insulation family; roof vents, goosenecks, or soffit venting may be installed by our roofing department during a separate site visit. You will not be invoiced until all work is completed to your satisfaction.
